Who You Are

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Radar Modeling and Simulation team, you will play a pivotal role in developing high-performance C++ software. Your work will directly enhance radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, signal processing, and radar control processing in simulation and digital twin environments. Your contributions will be integral to creating a system of systems that interfaces with external components and enables high-volume and high-fidelity radar simulations.

What You Will Do (The Work)

• Collaborate effectively with the technical lead and software/systems architects to inform design and integration choices while executing hands-on C++ development.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ software for various radar-related components.
• Engage in design and code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and cultivate a systems thinking approach within the team.
• Lead engineers in transforming customer needs into actionable Agile tasks while actively engaging in sprint planning, story breakdowns, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Verify and interpret software changes through regression testing to ensure that modifications achieve the desired system behavior.
• Analyze system-level data to ensure confidence before delivering solutions to customers and downstream teams.
• Maintain and enhance legacy codebases by applying and promoting established software engineering practices.
• Serve as a technical liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support automation, regression testing, and tooling enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C++ or strong experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C# or similar).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.
