The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer - SAP FS‑CD Expert to enhance our critical payment operations and contribute to innovative payment modernization initiatives. This role offers a unique chance for an expert in SAP FS‑CD to leverage their skills within a sophisticated S/4HANA environment and be part of a forward‑thinking team.

Work Location

Our flexible work environment requires this individual to be in the office 4 days per week at one of our locations in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; or Phoenix, AZ. Please note, relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions that integrate existing systems, collaborating with Engineers and Architects.
• Lead code/design reviews and communicate updates with stakeholders for smooth operations and accurate planning.
• Create algorithms that address business needs effectively.
• Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical challenges, providing end‑to‑end troubleshooting.
• Mentor fellow engineers in design, development, and maintenance, ensuring high‑quality contributions.
• Influence and shape the architecture and quality standards of your domain, measuring effectiveness across solutions.
• Identify and optimize system performance issues, including technical debt.
• Ensure effective risk management associated with business activities in compliance with policies.

What you have

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 6 years of software development experience with a strong technical understanding in specific disciplines or technologies.
• 4 years of experience delivering technology solutions throughout the software application development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Swift, Objective‑C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python.
• Experience researching technical issues and crafting innovative solutions.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting application and system production issues.
• Ability to articulate technical challenges and present solutions.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and system security fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud technologies and tools.

What sets you apart

• 5+ years of experience with the SAP Insurance module (FS‑CD preferred; FICA considered), along with S/4HANA Cloud experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of FS‑CD processes including master data, payments, billing, and reporting.
• Proficient in SAP ABAP development, including RICEFW and Object Oriented ABAP design.
• Experience with SAP Business Rules, configurations, and Business Partners.
• Familiarity with SAP APIs (REST, CDS, AMDP, ODATA) and ABAP on HANA development.
• Techno‑Functional capabilities to bridge business needs with technical solutions while supporting payment operations and meeting SLAs.

Compensation

• Salary range: $114,080 – $218,030.
