What awaits you with us...

• You will play a central role in the development, optimization, and assurance of reliable payroll processes, working closely with HR payroll specialists to ensure stable, legally compliant, and high-performing payroll solutions (currently SAP HCM on premise).
• Your focus will be on the technical support and further development of SAP HCM Payroll, including schemes, rules, and payroll components.
• You will also be responsible for the analysis, testing, and implementation of legal changes, collective agreement changes, and company-specific adjustments.
• You will support monthly and annual payroll runs and handle the clarification of payroll-related error cases.
• You will ensure compatibility after Support Package installations and year-end activities and install patches.
• Creating technical concepts and documentation is also part of your tasks, as is 3rd-level support for complex payroll cases.
• You will independently conduct code reviews and performance optimizations, especially in the payroll context.
• Furthermore, you will accompany and advise the payroll department on the introduction of new technologies, process optimizations, and automations (e.g., contributing to the roadmap for H4S4 / S/4Hana HCM).

What we expect from you...

• You have several years of professional experience in SAP HCM Payroll and ABAP development.
• You have a deep understanding of time management and payroll processes and their implementation in schemes and rules.
• You are familiar with HR infotypes (especially those relevant to payroll).
• You have experience in implementing legal requirements and the subsequent activities of payroll (e.g., social security notifications).
• Analytical, detail-oriented thinking and strong problem-solving skills characterize you.
• Knowledge of SuccessFactors is an advantage but not mandatory.
• You enjoy close collaboration with payroll departments.
