Role Overview
Oracle Health Patient Accounting delivers a suite of SaaS products and services tailored to streamline insurance and patient billing, ensuring an exceptional experience for end users. We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Software Engineer (IC3) to craft, develop, and maintain backend services and platform components. Your role will focus on creating secure, scalable, and reliable services for our users. This position offers a chance to engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), covering architecture, development, testing, robust monitoring, and deployment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs.
- Deliver features from start to finish: requirement analysis, technical design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Engage in code and design reviews; contribute to best engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, observability, security).
- Diagnose and resolve production issues; participate in on‑call support and incident management while driving follow‑up actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (including SRE/Operations, Security, Product Management, and other engineering groups).
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
AI‑First Engineering Expectations
- Exhibit practical experience using AI‑assisted tools/techniques to enhance productivity and quality (e.g., faster prototyping, increased test coverage, safer refactoring).
- Adopt an AI‑first approach in everyday tasks: generating and validating code suggestions, maintaining tests, and enhancing observability and documentation while exercising sound engineering judgment.
- Comprehend and abide by enterprise security and privacy standards when utilizing AI tools (e.g., protect sensitive data, use sanctioned tools/workflows).
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Security Clearance, which necessitates US Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or relevant practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C#, SQL, Python, and Oracle Database.
- Experience with modern engineering methodologies: source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience developing SaaS/PaaS services utilizing public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or financial systems.

Range and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is between $79,200 and $178,100 annually, with the possibility of bonuses and equity. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
