Senior Software Engineer*in (Backend) (m/f/d)

For this role, our team is looking for a new colleague to build scalable, secure backend systems and contribute to the evolution toward AI-native application development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance services using Java, Spring Boot & Spring Cloud
• Help re-architecting our systems and processes that deliver millions of printed and digital tickets
• Safely integrate internal and external systems using event-driven and API-first approaches
• Evolve responsible AI usage patterns and AI-ready architecture with your team
• Ensure end-to-end observability, performance, and security (we use Grafana Cloud)
• Embrace and optimize you build it, you run it together with your team

Requirements

• Your agentic development setup & skills that you’ve evolved over the past years
• A proven product builder mindset with ability to enter productive discourse with development teams, product, stakeholders and customers
• Mastery of several languages and ecosystems – we mostly use Java and TypeScript
• Deep and broad production-grade experience with stacks like Spring Boot, Angular, including test automation
• Experienced designing eventually-consistent, event-driven, API-first architectures based on relational databases
• Willingness and ability to cooperate modern cloud environments, we use AWS, and on-prem Kubernetes-based infrastructure
• Strong drive to build and share knowledge, and make your team better every day
• Great communicator, spoken and in writing, in English or German
