About the Role

Senior Software Engineer – Sales Intelligence (India)

  • Founding member of a brand‑new Sales Intelligence team within GoDaddy
  • Build greenfield solutions, optimize existing Salesforce workflows, and leverage AI to surface the right context at the right time
  • Shape the team from day one

Responsibilities

  • Design and build intelligent lead scoring, routing, and assignment systems that directly impact sales outcomes
  • Develop integrations and custom solutions on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Flows, LWC) to streamline sales workflows
  • Build backend services and APIs (Java, TypeScript) that power sales tools and AI‑driven features
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Data Science teams to identify high‑impact opportunities
  • Implement AI/ML‑powered features—leveraging LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval systems to provide contextual intelligence to sales reps
  • Propose and drive engineering initiatives to establish a solid technical foundation for a new team
  • Help define team practices, mentor future hires, and shape the engineering culture
  • Own the full lifecycle: from requirements and design through release, monitoring, and iteration

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, with proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript
  • Experience with Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, integrations) or strong willingness to learn quickly
  • Solid understanding of REST API design, data modeling, and integration patterns
  • Experience working with SQL databases and familiarity with data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle—from scoping to production monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast‑moving environment
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with non‑engineering stakeholders (Sales, Ops, Product)
  • A growth mindset and hunger to learn new technologies on the job

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience building sales tools, CRM integrations, or revenue operations systems
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience using LLMs in production (prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling)
  • Experience with lead scoring, sales analytics, or marketing automation platforms
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Background in event‑driven architecture or real‑time data processing
