Senior Software Verification Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Software Verification Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Software Verification team, contributing to the development and execution of software verification and validation activities for U.S. Department of Defense ground vehicle programs. The position involves reviewing requirements for testability, developing both automated and manual test cases, executing tests in lab and vehicle integration environments, identifying and diagnosing software defects, and delivering formal verification documentation according to DoD Data Item Descriptions (DIDs). The ideal candidate is technically proficient, hands-on, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional and international engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements for testability.
• Develop automated and manual test cases.
• Execute tests within lab and vehicle integration environments.
• Identify and diagnose software defects.
• Deliver formal verification documentation to customers in accordance with DoD Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
• Engage with cross-functional and international engineering teams.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of software verification or software test experience.
• Experience developing automated and manual test cases.
• Hands-on experience with Vector and/or dSPACE tool suites.
• Test scripting experience in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience tracing test cases to software and system requirements.
• Familiarity with U.S. DoD ground vehicle requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• HIL and/or SIL test experience.
• Physical or integration testing experience.
• Systems Engineering or Software Requirements background.
• Familiarity with Military Standards and regulations.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Integration Lab Scheduler tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $72.12/hr.
