DevOps Engineer

My client, a highly prestigious hedge fund, is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong developer background to join their Platform Engineering team in London.

Embedded within a high-performing technology function, you will play a key role in evolving a modern, GitOps-driven platform, working at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure.

This role is heavily focused on Kubernetes in bare metal environments, ArgoCD, and developer-led platform engineering, and will suit an engineer who has transitioned from a development background into DevOps or platform roles.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Kubernetes cluster design and GitOps workflows, leveraging ArgoCD to drive consistent, automated deployments across complex environments.
• Working closely with engineering teams, you will help shape internal platforms, improve developer experience, and build scalable, production-grade systems from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Strong developer background
• Kubernetes
• GitOps
• Developer-led platform experience

Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is beneficial but secondary to Kubernetes, GitOps, and developer-led platform experience.
