As a Senior Software Developer in Consulting, you will work on individual software solutions for our clients, such as banks, insurance companies, and retailers.

What awaits you with us:

• Agile work in teams (e.g., according to Scrum) with other viadeeler:innen or in collaboration with our clients
• Independently understand and analyze customer requirements in their professional context and identify the essential problems
• Conception of suitable, individual IT solutions and software architectures
• Implementation of these solutions with modern programming languages, techniques, and tools (e.g., Spring, Angular, CI/CD with GitHub Actions)
• Act as a point of contact for both professional and technical topics
• Communicate all these tasks and solutions at eye level within viadee and with clients
• Estimate and communicate milestones and project progress
• Participate in our relevant research & development areas, e.g., "Java & Architecture" or "Web Engineering & Mobile Application Development"
• If interested: Give presentations at conferences and conduct training sessions
• If interested: Mentor students and supervise theses

What you bring professionally:

• Code quality and Clean Code are important to you
• Several years of professional experience working in an enterprise stack, e.g., Java and Spring Boot
• Database and data modeling skills
• Ideally, knowledge of JavaScript technologies (e.g., Angular, Ionic, Node.js, TypeScript)
• Knowledge of classic and agile project environments
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in consulting with customer contact
• Completed studies in IT at a university of applied sciences or university

And beyond:

• Enthusiasm and curiosity for new things – whether people, methods, technologies, or subject matter
• Initiative and sense of responsibility
• Willingness to support and guide less experienced team members
• Enjoy communication at work, in the team, on-site, remote, or at the coffee machine at the client's site
• Proficiency in German, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level)
• Willingness to travel, primarily within North Rhine-Westphalia, to be effective at our clients' sites when needed
• Interest in self-responsibility and personal scope for action
