Job Summary The Senior Solutions Architect - Data Center Automation will be instrumental in assisting our customers with post-sales implementation aimed at enhancing data center infrastructure through automation (Software-Defined Data Center). This role encompasses low-level design and hands-on deployment of enterprise platforms, data center upgrades, migration services, and integration with existing systems. In addition, this position provides mentoring to fellow consultants within the team. This position is purely remote, with home office setup as determined by SHI management. Key Responsibilities • Perform low-level design and implementation tasks, including architecture analysis and system migration.

• Design and implement:

• VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation), both Brownfield and Greenfield projects.

• VMware VCF (Aria) Automation.

• VMware Private AI Foundation.

• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like SaltStack, Terraform, or Ansible.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, PowerCLI, and JavaScript.

• Manage server virtualization, operations, vSAN, and SAN technologies.

• Oversee disaster recovery solutions and backup resilience against ransomware.

• Lead projects serving as the primary technical expert and ensure successful outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with sales and presales teams to identify and capitalize on professional services opportunities.

• Provide configuration and upgrade services tailored to customer environments.

• Mentor fellow architects and consultants within the team.

• Engage in pre-sales conversations and assist in designing high-quality service engagements.

• Stay informed about current industry trends and offerings.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship during pre-sales and post-sales activities.

• Expertise in writing, debugging, and maintaining scripts in various languages for automation and software development.

• In-depth knowledge of managing infrastructure components and utilizing orchestration tools for comprehensive solutions.

• Experience in creating detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) to drive revenue through professional services.

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale IT projects related to design, deployment, and configuration.

Preferred Qualifications • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and project management skills.

• Proven analytical and research skills with a consultative approach to enterprise architecture.

• Experience and certifications in VCIX, VCAP, VCP, VCDX, CCIE, VMCE, and cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google GCP.

Additional Requirements • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, plus 7+ years in solutions architecture related to infrastructure.

• 10+ years of experience with VMware and related products in enterprise environments.

• 8-10+ years of technical experience with progressive responsibility.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Comprehensive understanding of virtualization technologies and software-defined data centers.

The base salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Estimated on-target earnings, including base salary and bonuses, range from $180,000 to $220,000, based on job-related knowledge, experience, and market location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
