Senior Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) – Telecommunications, AI & Edge Technologies

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and positioning of complex, enterprise-grade telecommunications solutions across connectivity, voice, cloud, AI, and edge technologies. This is a strategic, customer-facing role responsible for shaping large deals, influencing technical direction, and aligning solutions to business outcomes across a full ICT and emerging edge-to-cloud ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design for complex, multi-domain enterprise opportunities.

• Engage C-level stakeholders to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions.

• Design integrated solutions across:

• Connectivity: Fibre, LTE/5G, SD-WAN, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, Private 5G

• Voice & UC: VoIP, SIP, Cloud PBX, CCaaS

• Cloud & ICT: Microsoft Azure, hosting, cybersecurity, managed services

• Architect edge-to-cloud solutions, balancing real-time processing at the edge with cloud-based analytics.

• Design resilient ecosystems, moving beyond simple connectivity to fully integrated, scalable platforms.

• Incorporate AI, automation, and digital twin capabilities for predictive analytics and optimisation.

• Lead the integration of OT and IT systems, including environments such as SCADA, PLM, ERP, and modern data platforms.

• Own the end-to-end pre-sales lifecycle for strategic and large-scale deals.

• Develop solution architectures, commercial models, and value propositions.

• Mentor junior architects and support team capability development.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure scalability and feasibility.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 3-5 + years’ experience in telecommunications, including 3–5 years in Solutions Architecture / Pre-Sales.

• Proven ability to design large-scale, multi-vendor enterprise solutions.

• Deep expertise in:

• IP networking, SD-WAN, and enterprise connectivity

• Voice and unified communications (VoIP, SIP, UCaaS/CCaaS)

• Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred)

• Strong experience in edge-to-cloud orchestration.

• Proven ability to scale solutions from Proof of Concept (PoC) to large-scale deployments (10,000+ devices).

• Experience integrating Operational Technology (OT) and IT systems.

• Strong understanding of:

• NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, Private 5G, and modern connectivity protocols

• Zero Trust security architectures and regulatory compliance (e.g., SBOM, cyber resilience frameworks)

• Digital twin technologies for simulation and predictive modelling

• Experience incorporating AI/ML and automation into enterprise solutions.

• Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling skills.

• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.

Advantageous

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

• Experience with AI platforms, analytics, and conversational AI.

• Background in service providers, industrial IoT, or large enterprise environments.
