Senior Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales

Location: New York, NY (Remote Working)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales professional to work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams. You will act as the voice of the customer, helping enterprise clients solve complex billing, revenue recognition, and workflow challenges. Your work will directly support demos, technical discovery, and enterprise deal cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Solutioning

  • Configure contracts, pricing, metering, and invoicing.
  • Design workflows for complex billing, revenue recognition, and reporting processes.

Pre-Sales & Technical Discovery

  • Conduct discovery sessions, demos, sandbox setups, and POCs with finance and executive stakeholders.
  • Support enterprise deal cycles and contribute meaningfully to outcomes.

Internal Coordination & Escalation

  • Share structured customer insights with Product and Engineering.
  • Create clear handoff documentation and follow through on time-sensitive issues.

Documentation & Enablement

  • Produce customer-specific solution documentation and onboarding references.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, enablement materials, and product documentation.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 6+ years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Consulting, or similar customer‑facing roles in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Recent Role: Last 3+ years in a Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales / Technical Consultant role owning solutioning, demos, and deal support.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise demos, sandbox setups, POCs, and technical discovery sessions.
  • Experience supporting or co‑owning enterprise deal cycles with multi‑stakeholder processes.
  • Strong solutioning experience: configuring workflows, pricing, contracts, billing logic, SaaS product demos.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, SaaS architecture, and system workflows.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • B2B SaaS experience, ideally in FinTech, Billing, ERP, or RevOps domains.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of billing, subscription management, RevOps, or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, Zuora, Chargebee, Recurly).
  • Deep functional knowledge of finance operations: revenue recognition, order‑to‑cash lifecycle, billing/invoicing, close cycles, and financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of owning implementation or go‑live outcomes.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline tracking and deal support.
