Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer (Contract – Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are looking for Senior SRE / Cloud Engineers to support a transition from traditional IT operations to a more mature, automation-driven Site Reliability Engineering model.

This is a hands-on role where you will build automation, improve operational efficiency, and mentor existing teams in a low-maturity SRE environment.

Environment

• Cloud: Azure (primary), some AWS
• On-Prem: Nutanix VMs + limited physical servers
• Monitoring: LogicMonitor
• Ticketing: ServiceNow
• Operating Model: ITIL-based with structured change management

Key Automation Areas

• Backup alert triage automation
• User access/report validation processes
• Security alert analysis
• General operational task automation

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Terraform (must-have)
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with YAML
• Hands-on experience with Azure + hybrid/on-prem environments
• Strong automation and problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes / container exposure
• Monitoring tools like LogicMonitor (or similar)

Candidate Profile

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Patient and comfortable working with legacy teams
• Ability to mentor and guide team members
• Experience working in low-maturity or evolving environments
