About the Role

  • We're looking for Senior Staff Engineers to serve as technical tribe leaders, guiding architectural decisions across multiple squads while remaining technically engaged when needed.
  • In this role, you'll join Tribe Leadership and play a central part in our transition to a scalable, resilient target architecture. You will also contribute to our Technical Excellence Team, a cross‑tribe initiative focused on engineering standards, system design, and architectural strategy.
  • This is a strategic, hands‑on role where you will influence implementation at scale, support long‑term architectural decisions, and help shape the technical direction of the organization.
  • Act as the senior technical point of reference for your tribe. Shape architecture, align technical decisions across squads according to the company direction, and mentor Tech Leads and Staff Engineers.
  • Architecture & Design
    Lead and review technical designs across domains such as foundational services, business logic, integrations, and 3rd‑party systems. Ensure coherence with the broader technical vision.
  • Tribe Leadership & Collaboration
    Partner with Engineering Managers, Delivery Leads, and Product stakeholders to influence roadmap direction, PRD‑level technical constraints, and long‑term planning.
  • Tech Excellence Team
    Be an active member of this cross‑tribe group focused on scaling technical quality, tooling, standards, and engineering culture.
  • Mentorship & Influence
    Support the development of other senior engineers. Help scale leadership through coaching and technical guidance‑without creating bottlenecks or silos.
  • System Design & Execution – Contribute directly when needed‑particularly for complex or foundational systems‑through design, prototyping, testing and implementation.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Technical Leadership
    Experience driving architecture and engineering excellence across squads or tribes. You've influenced system‑level decisions and collaborated beyond team boundaries.
  • Strong Architectural Skills
    Depth in system design and architecture‑particularly around distributed systems, service boundaries, domain modeling, and cloud‑native systems. You're comfortable reviewing and driving high‑impact designs.
  • Pragmatic and Hands‑On
    You stay close to implementation. You know when to code, when to review, and when to step back and coach others.
  • Organizational Influence
    You challenge assumptions, refine direction, and help move the organization forward without relying on top‑down mandates.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You can engage both technical and non‑technical audiences effectively.
