About the role
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable server-side infrastructure for the Automotive AI Agent platform using C++ and Go.
• Build and evolve One Platform APIs, managing their lifecycle from experimental to General Availability, ensuring they meet Google Cloud standards.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of backend systems supporting platform features, including potential monetization mechanisms.
• Collaborate on API design, system architecture, and integration points with on-device components and other cloud services.
• Engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and contribute to the team's engineering excellence.
