Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead and manage client engagements, develop project scopes, assemble and oversee project teams, and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets while managing client expectations.
  • Technical Leadership: Utilize a first-principles approach to problem-solving, ensuring excellence in governing codes, design guidelines, and industry practices; offer subject-matter expertise on a variety of structural engineering projects, including analysis and repair of materials and systems.
  • Mentorship: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and development by mentoring peers and cultivating growth within the team and across the organization.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in initiatives that attract and develop emerging talent, collaborate with other leaders for in-house training, and engage actively in professional organizations and technical committees.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must possess a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or be able to obtain one by comity. Structural Engineer (SE) licensure is a plus.
  • Advanced Education: A Master's degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years in structural engineering, demonstrating strong technical and project management skills, especially in steel and concrete, with design experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication abilities are essential.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel and attend meetings at different sites.
  • Conduct inspections of structures using visual and instrumental methods.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Effectively use ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment while lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain fitness to use personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
