Senior Structural Engineer - Clean-Sheet Aircraft Program

iO Associates is currently partnered with an aerospace client that is seeking Senior Structural Engineers to lead the technical development of a next-generation clean-sheet aircraft program. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of aviation from the ground up.

You will contribute to the conceptual structural design and/or stress analysis of the aircraft, working closely with multidisciplinary teams (aero, systems, certification).

Depending on your background, your focus may include either:

Design

• Develop structural concepts (primary & secondary structures)
• Define layouts, interfaces, and installation constraints
• Produce and validate 3D models and drawings (CATIA or equivalent)
• Support trade studies and architecture decisions

Stress / Analysis

• Perform preliminary and detailed sizing (hand calcs, FEM)
• Assess static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance
• Support loads definition and structural substantiation
• Contribute to certification dossiers (CS-25 compliance)

Essential Experience

• Strong experience in aircraft structures (design or stress) - 10+ years
• Good understanding of large aircraft design principles ( CS-25 / FAR 25 )
• Experience in early design phases (concept / preliminary design)
• Familiarity with metallic and/or composite structures
• Experience with FE tools and/or CAD tools
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment

Beneficial Experience

• Experience with start-up or new aircraft development environments
• Background in both design and stress (multi-skilled profile)
• Airframe Architecture / or GFEM creation
• Exposure to major OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers (e.g. Airbus, Boeing, Dassault)
• CVE approval or strong certification exposure
• English & French speaking
