About The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer at GROPYUS, you will be part of our interdisciplinary Building System Team and responsible for the structural planning, development, and implementation of our serial timber construction system.

Your Responsibilities

• Structural planning development of our building system
• Timber construction-specific detail and product development
• Development of technical solutions considering manufacturing and assembly (DfMA principles) as well as sustainability and economic efficiency
• Development and verification of design and dimensioning tools for multi-story timber construction
• Creation of project-specific structural integrity proofs and structural engineering documentation for timber construction
• Project management for structural engineering in timber construction
• Close collaboration with our experts in architecture, MEP, building physics, fire protection, production, and execution
• Contribution to the further development of our digital value chain in collaboration with our product and tech teams

About You

• Successfully completed Master's/Diploma degree in the relevant field (Civil Engineering, Timber Construction, Structural Engineering)
• Several years of experience in structural planning of timber construction projects in Germany and/or Austria
• Sound knowledge of the relevant Eurocodes and their application (especially Eurocode 5)
• Affinity for digital processes and their further development
• Fluent communication skills in German and English
• Experience in construction timber companies, timber construction product development, or additional training in the carpentry trade
• Experience with Dlubal RFEM, AutoCAD, Rhino is an advantage
