This engineering role has multiple levels, allowing for applications from entry to senior engineers. See the compensation range based on experience below: • Mid-Level Engineer: $92,700 - $114,000 • Senior Engineer: $122,400 - $154,000

Position Overview

This role involves providing advanced technical and engineering problem-solving support for nuclear plant operations while serving as a resource and expert for other engineers. You will be trusted with making significant technical decisions and will utilize your comprehensive knowledge of industry codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
  • Consult with teams to identify and resolve equipment and system issues, lending your knowledge as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead engineering initiatives with a focus on both short-term and long-term operational impacts.
  • Complete assigned engineering tasks while applying fundamental engineering principles.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design standards and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
  • Propose innovative solutions, including new equipment and techniques, to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, or adhere to regulatory changes.
  • Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities, including emergency response and support during outage activities as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Mid-Level Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 2 years of relevant nuclear or engineering experience.
  • Must meet access requirements and pass medical examinations as necessary.

Minimum Requirements for Senior Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear or related experience.
  • Meet additional ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard requirements.
  • Must meet access requirements and pass medical examinations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer Registration.
  • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
