Senior Support Engineer (Data & Analytics Operations)

Overview

This role supports production data and analytics platforms across cloud and on-prem environments. The position focuses on operational support, incident resolution, performance optimization, and deployment activities within large-scale data warehouse and analytics ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain data and analytics applications in production environments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, job, and data issues
• Perform performance tuning across databases, applications, and cloud platforms
• Support deployments and operational changes using DevOps tooling
• Lead operational improvements and support incident/problem management processes
• Collaborate with project, operations, and vendor teams on enhancements and implementations
• Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 4+ years supporting cloud-based data and analytics platforms
• Strong AWS experience (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, S3, Athena)
• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDMC)
• Strong SQL scripting and database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, BitBucket, CI/CD, Ansible)
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, and large-scale data environments

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to Generative AI or Agentic AI
• Experience with SAP BI tools
• Mainframe exposure (COBOL, JCL, ZEKE, TSO)
• AWS or cloud certifications
