Your Role

The App&In department, as a central organizational unit within Central Operations, is tasked with ensuring the needs-based and high quality of service operation processes. With process know-how, knowledge of the operated services, and proactive engagement, the department provides central services. With a new team, we will take over the support of cloud applications. Under the hood of the container orchestration tool Kubernetes, we support applications with the goal of providing geoinformation for the Bundeswehr.

Responsibilities

  • 2nd Level support for pCloud services based on Kubernetes, Docker in operational use
  • Automated deployment of containerized applications
  • Monitoring and optimization of the platform through targeted use of logging, monitoring, and tracing
  • Creation of release and deployment plans according to ITIL
  • Creation, installation, testing, and implementation of software and configuration changes, considering the existing IT infrastructure
  • Handling of incidents according to BWI specifications (incident reception, error analysis, error resolution)
  • Participation in the development of training concepts and training of new colleagues
  • Maintenance and further development of technical documentation
  • Ensuring application availability

Profile

  • Completed 3-year job-related vocational training and additional qualification (e.g., IT specialist) or completed job-related university degree
  • Approximately 5 years of job-related professional experience or 2 years of job-related professional experience after university
  • Sound experience with Kubernetes & Docker in a cloud/container environment
  • Proficient use of Git and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD)
  • Experience with Helm Charts, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Fluent German language skills
