Team Storage Management Mainframe

In the Storage Management Mainframe team, we take central responsibility for managing our clients' data on modern DASD and tape systems. We ensure that business-critical information on various storage platforms remains protected, available, and consistent at all times. This demanding task requires not only deep technical understanding but also a strong awareness of the importance of sensitive data and the highest precision in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Implementation, control, and monitoring of tape management and storage virtualization systems (e.g., RMM, IBM DS8A50, TS7770)
• Implementation, control, and monitoring of typical mainframe storage management software (e.g., DFSMS, HSM, CIM, TDMF etc.)
• Development and implementation of technical concepts in storage management
• Creation, coordination, and processing of customer operational orders
• Project support
• Processing and solving operational problems as third-level support
• On-call duty outside of service hours

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study; completed training as a specialist in IT systems integration
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Knowledge of mainframe DASD and tape enterprise hardware
• Experience with the typical software products used under z/OS and necessary for control
• Experience in tape management and virtualization systems
• Independent and structured way of working
• Strong team spirit and social competence
• Experience in communicating with internal and external customers
• Ability to flexibly adapt to changing requirements
• Programming knowledge is an advantage
