About the role
Position
Senior Systems Analyst (SQL Development) – Permanent – Gatineau‑based customer
Work Location
The successful candidate will be required to work 4x/week at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC.
Key Tasks
- Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Fabric Data Factory.
- Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to ensure performance and reliability.
- Develop and integrate cloud‑based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and DevOps.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure reliability, performance, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement new features, configure systems, and support analytics initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in SQL development, data modeling, and data ingestion pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem including Power BI, Purview, and DevOps.
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture, integration patterns, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Other Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing data models for analytics and reporting.
- Proficiency developing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- Experience building and optimizing cloud‑based data pipelines and ingestion processes.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience documenting technical processes and maintaining system documentation.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and time‑management skills in fast‑paced environments.
Assets
- Bilingualism in French and English.
- Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Power BI certifications.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Experience working with Microsoft DevOps environments.
- Knowledge of data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Alteryx.
Compensation
Salary Range: $95,000‑$110,000
