Role

In the "Multi Domain Systems Engineering" team, you will work with us on the future of avionics and multi-domain systems. We develop innovative solutions for a wide range of applications, from concept studies to fully qualified systems. Our work includes projects such as the "Future Combat Air System", military mission systems, or other, also civilian, (aviation) systems. If you are passionate about the development of future aviation technologies and systems engineering, and have relevant experience, particularly in the field of communication and networking, you can support us as follows.

Responsibilities

  • Technical planning (effort, time) of system development
  • Creation/implementation of the system concept
  • Creation of the system model
  • Definition, validation, and review of system requirements
  • Creation of technical documentation for systems/subsystems (e.g., specifications, integration and test plans, test specifications for integration and acceptance tests, design descriptions)
  • Ensuring compliance with development and production processes (system)
  • Integration of components into the system
  • Definition of modules and subsystems in close coordination with responsible disciplines (e.g., hardware, software)
  • Technical/commercial sales support in the initiative and bid phase
  • Mentoring and knowledge transfer
  • Creation and review of design artifacts
  • Ensuring the execution of system verification and qualification
  • Compliance with norms/standards necessary for the task
  • Independent implementation of system development tasks in terms of time, cost, and quality (project-wide)

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the development of aviation or avionics systems and devices in civil/military aviation or in systems engineering of complex digital systems
  • Extensive experience in requirements engineering
  • Knowledge of aviation interface standards (e.g., ARINC-429, -664, -818)
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and standards (e.g., ARP 4754, DO178, DO-254, SeBOK) as well as airworthiness regulations
  • Experience in environmental qualification of devices according to RTCA DO-160 or comparable MIL-STDs
  • Knowledge of common tools (e.g., DOORS, JIRA, Enterprise Architect)
  • Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to penetrate complex issues
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Ability to set priorities

  • Relevant experience in handling architecture standards and best practices, such as design patterns
