The Business Applications department is responsible for the setup, operation, and optimization of complex and constantly growing system environments and procedures based on Red Hat Linux, HCL Domino, Java, PHP, and more. Furthermore, service-specific IT solutions are developed, integrated, and tested according to the specifications of Service Design and Service Transition, and technical concepts are created and maintained for delivery units.

Your Tasks

• 2nd Level Support for the LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) platforms and applications in our own cloud
• Participation in the automated deployment of platform components via CI/CD
• Creation, testing, and implementation of container builds
• Processing of incidents according to BWI specifications (incident reception, error analysis, error resolution)
• Identification of risks, as well as securing and resolving security risks
• Participation in the development of training concepts
• Maintenance and further development of technical documentation

Your Profile

• Experience with several of the following technologies
  • Web servers (Apache, NGINX)
  • Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, SuSE, RHEL, Debian)
  • Databases (e.g., MySQL, Maria DB, Postgre SQL)
  • LAMP-based applications
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native concepts
• Knowledge of application deployments as code via Helm charts, kustomize, k8s operators
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Git Lab-CI, Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible, ArgoCD and FluxCD)
• Experience with container builds (e.g., Docker, Buildah) and artifact management (Nexus, Harbor)
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Instana)
• Experience with scaling and resource optimization in container-based environments
• Git/Git-Ops
• Basic understanding of TCP networks such as firewalling, network structure, security
• Experience with CMDB/Asset management systems
• Basic ITIL knowledge (Change/Incident/Problem Management)
• Fluent German and good English skills
