As a Senior Systems Engineer on our Systems Engineering Team, you will lead the development and implementation of complex and innovative products, applications, services, and solutions, making a significant impact on our customers and society.

What You'll Achieve

In this role, you will provide essential pre-sales technical support to our field sales teams, collaborating closely to define comprehensive Dell Technologies solutions for our customers that leverage our full range of products and services.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and nurture relationships with sophisticated customer accounts.
• Conduct thorough customer needs analysis and anticipate future requirements.
• Prepare detailed product specifications to facilitate successful sales and deliver impactful presentations at customer sites.
• Verify the functionality of complex product and service configurations within customer environments.
• Perform advanced systems integration and provide technical expertise to design and implement tailored solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with a major cloud data platform (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes/lakehouse, and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Data engineering experience, including processing unstructured data and transforming it into structured formats.
• Proficient SQL skills for analytical queries and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with unstructured data & AI/RAG, vector databases, and document processing pipelines.
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
• Ability to design end-to-end analytics solutions, from raw data to actionable insights using BI tools.
• Working experience with data science and ML workflows.

Consulting Skills:

• Adept at unearthing technical requirements and translating business problems into clear data use cases.

Storytelling & Communication:

• Excellent at simplifying complex technical topics for various audiences.
• Comfortable presenting to large groups and senior stakeholders.

Demo & POC Excellence:

• Skilled in creating compelling demonstrations that highlight customer data and use cases.

Competitive Positioning:

• Understanding of the data & AI ecosystem, articulating our differentiation in the market.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Proven experience in architecting and delivering solutions in data management and analytics.

Compensation:

Dell offers fair and competitive compensation. The Total Target Compensation (TTC) range for this position is $204,850 - $265,100, including base salary and potential commissions.
