Requirements
- Over 10 years ofΒ experience in providing production support and server administration for both Windows and Linux environments
- Proficient in Linux hardening techniques, including CIS/STIG compliance and secure configuration
- Skilled in patching and lifecycle management using Red Hat Satellite across enterprise Linux systems
- Familiar with UNIX utilities and scripting languages like Perl, Ansible, and Shell
- Experienced with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Bicep/ARM for cloud deployments
- Knowledgeable in application servers including JBoss, Wildfire, Tomcat, and ASP.NET
- Capable of providing technical support through troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system anomalies
- Experienced in conducting vulnerability scans and remediating issues in Linux and Windows environments
- Proficient in establishing database connectivity and administration for MS SQL Server and related technologies
- Experienced in monitoring public websites and addressing issues as they arise
- Adept at maintaining system and security documentation as required
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including BGP, TCP/UDP, and IP
- Solid network administration skills, with a focus on routing/switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewall troubleshooting
- Capable of supporting network administration tasks for internet connectivity and cloud services integration
- Experienced in Azure Cloud environment setup, service configuration, and application migration
- Knowledgeable in Azure networking and identity management practices
- Proficient in Azure monitoring and logging tools and backup/recovery strategies
- Experienced with Azure security, governance practices, and cost optimization strategies
- Familiar with Azure VMware Solution for enterprise-level operational support
- Capable of managing SSL/TLS certificates across both Windows and Linux platforms
- Experienced with GitHub for version control and CI/CD automation processes
- Knowledgeable in architecture and build-out of VMs using Windows and Red Hat Linux, including public website implementation on cloud platforms
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and infrastructure for our organization
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while conducting root cause analysis
- Manage and administer Linux hardening, patching, and lifecycle processes for optimal performance
- Develop and execute strategies for environment standardization across development, testing, and production
- Maintain and develop system and security documentation to comply with standards
- Implement monitoring tools and respond proactively to identified issues in public websites
- Ensure database connectivity support and maintenance for applications
- Manage Azure Cloud services, including migration of applications and service configurations
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation in both Linux and Windows environments
