Senior Tax Accountant

Role Description

A manufacturer in Springfield, VA seeks a conscientious, full-time Senior Tax Accountant with a strong background in general ledger accounting, and heavy business income tax experience. You will work with seasoned accounting professionals in a friendly and challenging environment, with exposure to international and real estate taxation, spread out among different companies and different jurisdictions. A proven track record of analytical problem solving is required.

Note - we are not looking for a bookkeeper, clerk or an auditor.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in business tax compliance, tax preparation, and understanding of tax regulations is required.
• Several years experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent, focusing on business taxation, is required.
• International tax experience is a big plus.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
• Strong foundational knowledge and skills in Accounting
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification is preferred
