Senior Tax Associate

Our client is a premier development, investment, and operating company in the energy infrastructure sector. They seek a Senior Tax Associate to join their East Brunswick, NJ office.

Responsibilities • Prepare and review domestic federal and state income tax workpapers utilized for estimated tax payments, investor tax projections, and timely tax filings of returns and reports • Manage aspects of tax compliance, which vary based on assignments, including preparation or review of tax basis trial balances, incentive carry waterfalls, depreciation calculations, federal and state tax withholding, E&P adjustments, and ASC 740 income tax provisions • Collaborate with outside tax firms regarding review comments on prepared tax returns and interact on research questions and projects • Identify, research, and analyze tax technical issues • Draft written memos to document tax positions and memorialize meeting notes

Requirements • 2+ years of partnership tax experience • Public or combo • Partnership tax experience (1065) • Detail-oriented and highly analytical • CPA preferred
