The Senior Technical Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring our financial operations' integrity by researching, interpreting, and applying complex accounting standards and regulations. You will be involved in interpreting intricate financial data, developing comprehensive accounting policies, and providing expert guidance on technical accounting issues to various stakeholders. Additionally, you will oversee the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and generate detailed financial reports. Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes will enable you to help maintain transparency and accuracy in our financial practices. This position reports directly to the Technical Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions, including equity compensation and debt.
- Analyze, record, and reconcile complex transactions in the general ledger, ensuring financial accuracy across areas such as equity awards, debt, and environmental accruals.
- Execute detailed balance sheet reconciliations while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage the equity awards process, from documentation through accounting implications to financial presentation.
- Collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams to support compliance, assist with audit processes, and contribute to organizational projects.
- Enhance process efficiencies by identifying and implementing automation solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Oracle.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Experience in Auditing or Financial Reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Prior experience with stock-based compensation, debt, and hedge accounting.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote on Monday and Friday.
Experience/Education:
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience with public companies and in fast-paced environments.

Salary Information:
Annual Hiring Range: $80,100.00 - $97,900.00
Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentives will be finalized at the offer stage.
