About the role

Job Summary

The Senior Technical and Engineering Manager is responsible for all engineering/technical aspects of the Company's operations, inclusive of value engineering opportunities, construction and overall methodology, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals and follow‑up approval. This position also manages the preparation/verification of detailed constructional drawings, negotiation and securing of technical and statutory approvals to achieve and monitor the optimum effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight on complex engineering problems and projects.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to optimize project outcomes and team performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and product development.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects and departmental operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of engineering projects and team members, implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve objectives.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Profound understanding of engineering principles and technical concepts across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing interdisciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Strong project management abilities to oversee project lifecycles, budgets, and schedules effectively.
  • Advanced problem‑solving capabilities to address technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to facilitate collaboration and ensure project success.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required to be successful in this role.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years working experience.
  • At least 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
  • 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
