Senior Technical Cyber Security Engineer

Your role in the team

• In your role as a Senior Technical Cyber Security Engineer, you are the key technical figure between our clients, partners, and product development.
• With your analytical thinking and service orientation, you support our users in efficiently solving technical challenges and ensuring the secure, stable operation of the Enginsight platform.
• In this role, you work closely with the development and support teams to continuously improve processes and actively share knowledge.
• You install, configure, and optimize Enginsight products in various partner and customer environments.
• You handle complex inquiries and support tickets from customers, partners, and distributors.
• You analyze and resolve issues in the areas of agent installation and configuration, SIEM integration and log analysis, vulnerability management and vulnerability scanning, network and endpoint monitoring, microsegmentation, and performance analysis on Linux servers.
• You conduct root cause analyses for recurring problems and develop sustainable solutions.
• You work closely with the Third Level or the development team on product and bug-related issues.
• You actively contribute to the further development of our support processes.
• You create and maintain support documentation as well as knowledge base articles.
• You support customer training sessions and webinars on technical topics.
• You strengthen the First Level Support through coaching, training, and knowledge transfer.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Linux (Debian) and proficient handling of the shell.
• Good knowledge of network technology and IT infrastructures (Loadbalancer, Proxy, Certificates, VMs).
• Solid knowledge in Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and VPNs.
• Understanding of IT security solutions (Firewall, Endpoint Security, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning).
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner across teams, communicate clearly, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
• Your language skills are very good in German and good in English, both written and spoken.

Experience

• Experience in Windows Server administration.
• Ideally, several years of experience in technical second-level support - preferably in IT security, monitoring, or system management.
• Desirable knowledge of MongoDB & experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Education

• Completed vocational training or studies in the IT field (e.g., IT specialist for system integration, IT electronics technician, computer science) or a comparable qualification.
