Senior Technical Interior Designer

Role Overview

This is a hands-on execution-focused role, responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from technical documentation through to procurement and final installation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in:

• Driving project delivery standards
• Strengthening technical and procurement processes
• Managing budgets and protecting project margins
• Reducing operational pressure on senior leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full project execution from concept handover to completion
• Produce and manage detailed technical drawings (AutoCAD & Revit)
• Coordinate procurement processes, suppliers, and timelines
• Manage project budgets (R2 million+) with a strong focus on cost control
• Ensure high-quality installation and project delivery on site
• Maintain structure, systems, and accountability across projects

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Proven experience in a similar role within an interior design or interior architecture firm
• Strong exposure to high-end residential and/or commercial projects
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential)
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from technical stage through to installation
• Solid understanding of procurement, supplier management, and logistics
• Experience managing project budgets of R2 million and above
• Highly organised, detail-driven, and commercially aware
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects

Remuneration

• Base salary starting from R30,000 (depending on experience)
