Senior Technical Program Manager (Remote)

Our client is a fast-growing technology company seeking an accomplished Senior Technical Program Manager to lead critical, complex, and cross-functional technical initiatives. This role is vital for driving the successful execution of strategic programs from concept to launch, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and operations teams. As a fully remote position, you will leverage your expertise to coordinate efforts, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and deliver high-impact results without the need for an office presence. Responsibilities: Define program scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and manage detailed program plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, operations) to ensure successful program execution. Identify, assess, and manage program risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies. Facilitate effective communication and provide regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. Drive decision-making and resolve roadblocks to ensure program momentum. Manage program budget and ensure efficient use of resources. Implement and refine program management best practices and processes. Ensure alignment between program objectives and overall business strategy. Oversee the launch of new products and features, coordinating go-to-market activities. Conduct post-program reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Mentor junior program managers and contribute to the growth of the program management function. Work closely with technical leads to understand architectural decisions and their impact on timelines. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, even in a remote setting. Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and manage tasks effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role, managing complex software development projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, technical programs on time and within scope. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams. Proficiency in program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar. Experience with risk management, dependency tracking, and conflict resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience working effectively in a fully remote team setting. PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus. Experience in cloud computing, SaaS, or specific industry domains relevant to the company's products is advantageous.
