Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead critical technology initiatives from initiation to successful completion. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, this role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, project management expertise, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, managing scope, budget, resources, and timelines effectively. This role demands a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, along with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams, including software developers, engineers, designers, and QA professionals. You will act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Lead and motivate cross‑functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.
• Manage project execution using Agile/Scrum methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure the quality of project deliverables and adherence to technical standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and third‑party integrations as required.
• Conduct project post‑mortems and create lessons learned to identify areas for improvement.
• Mentor junior project managers and team members.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and project management best practices.
• Report project status, key metrics, and risks to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on technical projects.
• Proven experience managing projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various technology stacks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
• Experience with project management software such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
• Ability to effectively manage risk and ambiguity.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams is a plus.
