About the role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to manage projects from anywhere. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, IT infrastructure, and agile methodologies, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage diverse, remote teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies. Manage project execution, overseeing daily operations, task delegation, and team coordination in a remote setting. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Communicate project status, updates, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders, including senior leadership, through regular reports and presentations. Manage vendor relationships and third-party contributions to projects. Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned to improve future project execution. Manage project changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed. Oversee the quality assurance and testing phases of projects. Facilitate remote team meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders. Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within project management practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, CSM) is highly desirable. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on technical projects (software development, IT infrastructure, etc.). Proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale projects from initiation to closure. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide remote teams. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and collaboration tools. Strong risk assessment and mitigation planning capabilities. Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems effectively. Experience in managing budgets and resources efficiently. Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote work environment.
