Technical Recruiter / Talent Partner
Trilon
About the role
Trilon Group is making a significant investment in building a next-generation AI, data, and digital capability to transform how infrastructure is designed and delivered. This is a high-priority, enterprise-level initiative backed by leadership and aligned to long-term value creation.
We are seeking a Technical Recruiter / Talent Partner to play a critical role in building this capability from the ground up. This individual will operate as both a strategic advisor and hands-on builder, responsible for attracting and hiring top-tier talent across AI, data, and engineering.
This is not a traditional recruiting role-you will help shape the talent strategy, operating model, and team architecture for a rapidly scaling, PE-backed platform.
Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the hiring strategy for AI, data, and engineering functions
- Own end-to-end recruiting for high-impact, hard-to-fill technical roles across the AI task force, including:
- AI/ML Engineers, AI Developers, and AI Specialists
- Data Engineers and Data Platform roles
- Full Stack Developers and Infrastructure/DevOps Engineers
- Solutions Architects and Technical Business roles
- Translate evolving business needs into clear hiring plans, role definitions, and candidate profiles
- Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies targeting passive, high-caliber technical talent
- Act as a market expert, advising leadership on talent availability, competitive landscape, and compensation trends
- Help design and implement scalable recruiting processes to support multi-role, multi-phase team buildouts
- Drive a structured, high-quality interview and selection process aligned to long-term success
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects a high-performance, mission-driven culture
- Partner cross-functionally (HR, Regional and Operating Company leadership) to align hiring with growth and value creation goal
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with deep expertise in engineering, data, and/or AI hiring
- Proven success hiring for highly specialized, competitive roles (AI/ML, data engineering, cloud, or platform roles)
- Experience operating in high-growth, PE-backed, or build environments (consulting, tech, or tech-enabled services preferred)
- Ability to function as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, with confidence to challenge and influence
- Strong sourcing capability and track record engaging passive, hard-to-reach talent pools
- Experience building teams from zero to scale or supporting large, multi-role hiring initiatives
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping define roles that may not yet be fully formed
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Background
- Direct experience recruiting for AI/ML, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure roles
- Exposure to enterprise AI or digital transformation initiatives
- Background supporting cross-functional team builds (engineering + business + delivery roles) aligned to programs like Trilon's AI task force
Perks
- Build from zero: Shape and scale a critical AI capability from the ground up
- High impact: Direct influence on one of the company's most important strategic initiatives
- Executive exposure: Partner closely with senior leadership and decision-makers
- Strategic + executional: Operate as a true talent partner, not just a recruiter
- Long-term upside: Play a key role in value creation within a PE-backed platform
