Our client, a leading player in the recruitment consultancy space, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to spearhead talent acquisition efforts within the burgeoning energy sector. This pivotal remote role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technical roles, a robust network within the energy industry, and a proven ability to identify, attract, and secure top-tier engineering and technical talent. You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding client needs and crafting compelling job descriptions to sourcing candidates, conducting thorough interviews, and facilitating offer negotiations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to building talent pipelines and fostering strong relationships with both clients and candidates.

Responsibilities: Partner closely with clients in the energy sector to understand their hiring needs, organizational culture, and specific technical skill requirements. Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify passive and active candidates for hard-to-fill technical roles, including engineers, project managers, and specialized technicians. Conduct in-depth screening interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, cultural fit, and salary expectations. Manage the entire recruitment process from initial contact through to offer acceptance, ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience. Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, attending virtual networking events and conferences to expand talent networks. Utilize various recruitment tools and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and specialized job boards. Provide clients with market intelligence, salary benchmarking, and insights into talent availability within the energy sector. Prepare and present candidate shortlists, facilitate client interviews, and manage the offer and negotiation process. Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and recruitment metrics within the ATS. Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process. Develop and nurture a pipeline of potential candidates for future opportunities within the energy industry. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical recruitment, with a significant focus on the energy, oil & gas, or renewable energy sectors. Demonstrated success in recruiting for niche engineering and technical roles. Expertise in using advanced sourcing techniques and recruitment technologies. Exceptional understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and best practices. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM tools. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet challenging deadlines in a remote environment. A proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Experience working with recruitment agencies or consultancies is a plus. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your recruitment expertise from anywhere, serving clients across various locations including Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG and globally.
