Senior Telecom Network Engineer - 5G Deployment

Our client is a leading telecommunications provider looking for a highly experienced Senior Telecom Network Engineer to spearhead their 5G deployment initiatives in Aba, Abia, NG . This pivotal role will involve the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge 5G network infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of mobile network technologies, particularly 5G NR, LTE, and associated core network elements. You will be responsible for network planning, capacity management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless and reliable network services. Key Responsibilities: Design, plan, and implement 5G and LTE network solutions, including radio access networks (RAN) and core network elements. Conduct network performance analysis, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to improve coverage, capacity, and quality of service. Manage network capacity planning and forecasting to meet future demand. Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize service disruptions. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and other engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. Stay current with the latest advancements in mobile communication technologies, standards, and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network capabilities. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Ensure network security and compliance with relevant industry standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering, with a significant focus on mobile networks (4G/LTE and 5G). In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, eNodeB, gNodeB, and 5G core network architecture (SA and NSA). Experience with RF planning, optimization, and drive testing tools. Proficiency in network simulation and modeling tools. Strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and security principles. Experience with network monitoring and performance management systems. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong project management and communication skills.
