Senior Telecoms Network Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Network Security Engineer to bolster their network infrastructure security. This critical role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions to protect our telecommunications network against evolving threats. You will be responsible for network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security incident response, and the continuous enhancement of security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies within a telecoms environment.

Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing security policies, monitoring network traffic for suspicious activities, and responding effectively to security breaches. You will work closely with network operations teams to ensure secure network configurations and troubleshoot security-related issues. This position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications protocols and standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will also be involved in staying abreast of the latest security threats and technologies, recommending and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
