About the Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you work on a high‑end medical software application within the Interventional Hemodynamics domain. Together with a small, dedicated development team, you are responsible for securing product quality of released solutions while supporting the introduction of new functionality aligned with the product roadmap. In this role, you continuously develop your test engineering expertise while deepening your knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring in a regulated medical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as part of a team of 3 test engineers, the Vercation & Validation (V&V) activities within the Philips Interventional Hemodynamic System program.
  • Develop and maintain the Test & Release Plans for each maintenance and new‑product releases, covering test strategy, test decomposition, and the V&V evidence required from our development partners.
  • Create and maintain together with your colleague test engineers a robust framework of test cases.
  • Provide effort estimations and test planning as part of overall product program planning.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of required test environments.
  • Execute verification and validation tests (currently still mostly manual) according to the defined test cases.
  • Create and manage test records and release documentation, including stakeholder approvals.
  • Monitor and report progress of all test activities executed within the product program.
  • Lead efforts to apply AI and automated testing techniques to improve test efficiency, and embed the resulting V&V methodologies into the programme’s test strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong ISEB / ISTQB knowledge; ISTQB Advanced level preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in V&V activities in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Experience defining product test strategies and creating test and release documentation.
  • Demonstrated strong ownership, quality focus, and precision in documentation.
  • Comfortable working in small cross‑functional teams and influencing without authority.
  • Clear communication in English and preferably in Dutch.
