Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for:

  • Independent planning and implementation of automated test environments for verifying the specified requirements of our systems.
  • Configuration and commissioning of complex test stands, integrating common debug and communication interfaces.
  • Integration of automated tests into the existing development pipeline for continuous quality assurance.
  • Holistic system assurance, including conformity and interoperability tests, to ensure the smooth interaction of wireless, wired, and multimedia interfaces and control signals.
  • Analysis of complex error scenarios, documentation of results, and consultation with development teams to optimize product quality.

Requirements

You work independently, structured, and analytically with an innovative spirit, and are also team-oriented and communicative. You are open to new technologies and methods and are characterized by a high quality awareness. Furthermore, you ideally bring:

  • Completed studies in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, Communications Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable field.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in test automation (ideally with Python/pytest/Robot Framework) and in-depth knowledge of verifying embedded interfaces and bus systems (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and common radio protocols (e.g., ZigBee, Thread, WLAN, BLE, and LTE).
  • Confident setup and operation of complex Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) environments, including the secure use of laboratory measuring equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) and protocol analysis tools like Wireshark.
  • Practical experience in integrating tests into modern DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Docker) and the ability to strategically plan test processes considering efficiency, cost, and time aspects.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
