Our client is a leading innovator in the creative and digital space, seeking a talented and passionate Senior UI/UX Designer to enhance their digital presence and user experiences. This role, based in Baltimore, Maryland, US, will involve conceptualizing and designing intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling user interfaces for a variety of digital platforms and products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user‑centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new digital products and features, from initial concept and user research to high‑fidelity prototypes and final UI assets.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions.
• Conduct user research, including usability testing, interviews, and surveys, to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user‑friendly and aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Advocate for user needs and best practices in UI/UX design throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain a consistent design language and style guide across all digital touchpoints.
• Optimize existing user interfaces for improved usability, accessibility, and engagement.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in UI/UX design, interaction design, and digital product development.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the team's creative culture and best practices.
• Present design concepts and rationale clearly and effectively to various audiences, including executives and technical teams.
• Ensure designs are technically feasible and meet performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Proficiency in industry‑standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator), InVision, etc.
• Solid understanding of user‑centered design principles, usability best practices, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Knowledge of front‑end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their implications on design is a plus.
• Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of typography, color, and layout.
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, balancing collaboration with independent work.
