You will work across our portfolio to make our experiences visually consistent (and consistently delightful!). At apree health, we’re on a mission to help people use their health benefits—connecting the right person to the right service at the right time. We’re integrating AI in smart and thoughtful ways throughout the ecosystem while we rethink the fundamental experiences the platform offers. Be a part of building a better, healthier future for employees, health plan members, and their families! What You’ll Do Work closely with the Design System Lead to help organize, document, and extend the design system. Solidify our visual language and create libraries that help exemplify high quality visual and motion design work. Communicate changes clearly and consistently. Work closely with the Product Design team to enhance, iterate, and ensure consistency across visual patterns and workflows. Create motion and micro-interaction designs that give our product a level of sophistication and fun. Incorporate illustrations, textures, and other effects in meaningful (and highly usable) ways. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, sales enablement, and product marketing to produce high quality assets and materials that align with our visual language. Understand your users and use good judgement when considering how far to take a visual or motion concept, considering aspects such as accessibility, target persona or population, and seriousness or playfulness of content. Occasionally, run your own usability studies to give the team data on how visual elements are perceived by users. Stay on top of visual trends and challenge the team to continuously iterate! Share new patterns, trends, and explorations frequently at design critiques and in our slack channels. Be proactive about exploring how we could adopt a trend within our product. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus. • 6+ years of experience in product UX design, with a proven track record of creating successful and user-friendly products. • Expertise in UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar tools. • Strong understanding of design systems, user flows, and interaction design principles. • Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first principles, and cross-platform user experiences. • Ability to communicate clearly through language and visual means. Ability to work cross-functionally with lots of different stakeholders and maintain a fun, positive work environment. • Tenacity and resourcefulness - this is a dynamic work environment in which requirements change and projects need quick turnarounds. Ability to stay calm and collected throughout the process is key. • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse user groups.
