About the role
Position Overview

As an Interaction Designer, you will take complex challenges and transform them into intuitive and engaging experiences for billions of users. You will work within the YouTube Business Technology team—responsible for internal enterprise software solutions powering the YouTube Business Organization—to design and deliver trustworthy and valuable products. This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus. Applicants in the County of Los Angeles will be considered in accordance with the applicable Fair Chance Ordinances. Additionally, by applying to this position, you will have the opportunity to choose your preferred working location from New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; or San Bruno, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.
- Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
- Advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience with service design or designing for enterprise systems.
- Experience defining and expanding design systems, components, and patterns.
- Portfolio, website, or a relevant link that showcases your work (please include access instructions if necessary).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
- 2 years of experience leading design projects.
- Experience designing with Salesforce or other major CRM platforms.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000‑$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined based on work location, skills, experience, and education.
