About The Job We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Life360's Circle Expansion Team. Circle Expansion defines how Life360 grows beyond the nuclear family, serving every member of the family, regardless of age, location, relationship status, or device.
Families are complex. The needs of an aging parent, a young adult living independently, a caregiver managing from a distance, or a couple in different cities are all distinct, but they share something universal: the need for safety, connection, and closeness across the moments that matter most. Circle Expansion exists to design for that full range of human need, at every life stage and across every relationship type. You will lead design for high-impact experiences that serve this vision.
The US-based salary range for this position is $120k to $190k. The Canadian-based salary range for this position is $149k to $176k. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You'll Do Lead Product Design Across Circle Expansion • Drive end-to-end design of experiences that connect families across distance, life stage, and relationship type from daily reassurance to safety-critical moments.
• Translate strategy and user insights into elegant, scalable UI/UX solutions aligned with Circle Expansion priorities.
• Lead early design explorations for connection, safety, and contextual experiences that serve families across life stages, relationship types, and the communities people move through together.
• Rapidly design and prototype using Figma, AI-assisted tools, and interactive frameworks moving from concept to testable experience quickly and iterating with real members and stakeholders.
• Create frameworks and interaction models that make complex experiences feel simple and human.
• Expand the design system with scalable patterns that work across relationship types, life stages, and devices.
• Partner closely with Circle Expansion PM, engineering, research, and industrial design to deliver high-quality outcomes across software and hardware surfaces.
• Influence roadmap decisions by connecting design directly to member needs, engagement, and business growth.
• Guide and mentor designers across the org, modeling exceptional craft and systems thinking.
• Champion design culture by introducing new practices and inspiration from the broader industry.
AI-Native Expectations We're building toward AI-native design as a team standard actively exploring what works, sharing what we learn, and raising the floor together. Here's what that means in practice:
• Curiosity and experimentation: You actively explore AI tools to understand what they can (and can't) do for design work research synthesis, concept generation, critique, content, system documentation. Some experiments will fail. That's part of it.
• Judgment and ownership: AI-generated work gets the same critical eye you'd give any design review. You evaluate outputs against user needs, brand, and product goals and you're accountable for everything you ship.
• Better work, not just faster work: When AI is working well, it helps you make bet.
