Graphic Designer
General Motors
About the role
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for an accomplished Graphic Designer with 7-10 years of expertise who values timeless design principles. In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing GM's Design Language and establishing a cohesive Design System that ensures visual consistency across our vehicle operating system, web, and mobile platforms. Your focus on typography, structure, and clarity will be vital in crafting user experiences that resonate and enhance brand identity. You will ensure that each interface not only functions beautifully but also embodies the essence and visual language of the GM brand. Transforming brand principles into actionable design systems that inspire and guide design teams across digital products and marketing will be key to your success.
Your modernist approach, anchored in enduring design principles rather than fleeting trends, will shine through your work. You will employ systematic and grid-based design methodologies in both brand and interface design.
With influences from design icons like Wim Crouwel and Otl Aicher, you understand that robust ideas, clarity, and structure are essential for exceptional design. In your role, you will significantly influence GM's visual identity and enhance the GM Design System, championing precision, unity, and purpose across all touchpoints as the brand comes to life.

Qualifications:

- Experience collaborating with brand strategy, UX, accessibility, and front-end development teams.
- Extensive knowledge of modernist design principles and their relevance in today’s brand systems.
