About the role

About McCue Engineering Contractors

MCCue Engineering Contractors is a Delta-based manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems, delivering fully engineered plants for industrial operations across Canada. With a focus on mining sites, remote camps, and smaller communities, the team designs and fabricates systems that treat industrial wastewater, sewage, and drinking water in challenging environments. Unlike traditional consultancies, McCue brings design and manufacturing together under one roof, with process and mechanical engineers working closely alongside skilled trades to turn concepts into fully operational systems. Their projects demand practical thinking, strong collaboration, and a hands-on mindset, supported by a flexible hybrid work environment and a tight-knit, high-performing team. For engineers looking to take ownership of meaningful projects and see their designs built and deployed in the field, McCue offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, fabrication, and real-world application.

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally within Canada for project work

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience designing sewage, industrial wastewater, or drinking water treatment systems
  • Strong background in process design, modelling, and engineering documentation
  • Experience supporting proposals, tender reviews, and budget development
  • Knowledge of biological treatment processes and related technologies
  • Experience with BioWin or similar process modelling software
  • Familiarity with equipment sizing, vendor coordination, and technical evaluations
  • Experience with pilot or bench-scale testing programs
  • Exposure to construction, commissioning, or operation of treatment systems

As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and multidisciplinary team. You are a self-starter who takes ownership of your work, communicates proactively in a hybrid environment, and brings a high level of accountability and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who wants to take ownership of meaningful water and wastewater projects, contribute to a close-knit and high-performing team, and see their work move from design through to real-world application.
