For our renowned client, a global leader in the intralogistics industry, we are looking for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d).

Below you will find the general information:

• Start: ASAP or by arrangement
• Employment type: Permanent position (try-and-hire model)
• Location: Canton of Zurich, Switzerland
• Workload: 100%; after onboarding, up to 60% remote work is possible

Responsibilities

• Development and enhancement of our applications in the area of control systems and business intelligence applications for intralogistics
• Design and development of concepts and architecture-compliant solution proposals
• Taking responsibility for new features and applications within WCS and MHE software services
• Improvement of our service-oriented architecture, with a focus on high availability, robustness, maintainability, and testability
• Coordination between software project managers, integration managers, and software development teams
• Leading by example, coaching the development team, and fostering a collaborative and effective working culture
• Driving architectural decision-making in close collaboration with our software architects and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Technical university degree or equivalent qualification
• Senior-level professional experience in software development for material handling equipment (MHE), warehouse control systems (WCS), or warehouse management systems (WMS) for logistics applications in e‑commerce or third-party logistics is required
• Strong experience in development using high-level programming languages such as .NET / C#, Java, or C++
• Experience with the integration of common ASRS, pouch sorter, or robotic fleet management systems and technologies is an advantage
• High sense of responsibility and strong quality awareness
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum; experience with Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Jira is an advantage
• Very good command of English and German is a strong advantage
