Job Summary
The Senior Writer is a key member of the Snow Companies creative team, responsible for bringing stories and media to life with compelling narratives, supporting junior writers, upholding brand excellence, and leading complex creative projects. This role requires exceptional storytelling, mentorship, and strategic insight to meet client and organizational objectives.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Prepare and present patient stories, advertising/marketing copy, video/audio scripts, blog posts, business reports, and correspondence
- Create short form copy for digital projects such as web, display ads, email, and other online user experiences
- Understand brand strategy, marketing goals, and FDA legal and regulatory requirements and weave that information into the Ambassador’s story
- Read and comprehend pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry documents including medical education, clinical data, package inserts, and industry regulations
- Switch quickly between writing styles and mediums such as print and digital
- Mimic tone and voice used by brand AORs when necessary
- Write high-quality work meeting brand, regulatory, and editorial standards
- Train and mentor junior writers in meeting quality standards
- Provide reviews of written content with developmental feedback and ensure consistency across deliverables
- Develop administrative materials to support writing team processes
- Assist managers in onboarding new creative hires
- Act as a brand expert maintaining deep understanding of client guidelines
- Interface professionally with clients in formal and informal settings including presentations and feedback sessions
- Lead larger creative initiatives such as magazines, editorial programs, and campaign development
- Collaborate with other departments and step into varied roles to support team and company success
- Meet deadlines consistently and deliver polished content
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients, Ambassadors, and internal teams
Weekend and Night Work
- Primarily work during regular office hours (8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday)
- Occasional work late evenings and/or weekends required due to workload and nature of work
Collaboration/Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with people in other departments
- Willingness and ability to step into other roles as needed to drive company success
- Contribute to team goals beyond individual job description
Language Skills/Communication
- Superior writing, brainstorming, and proofreading skills
- Effective and professional communication with managers, clients, Patient Ambassadors, and peers
- Discretion, empathy, and professionalism when working with patients with chronic conditions
- Mastery of English language and strong eye for detail
- Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
Travel
- Travel approximately once per month to support team and complete job tasks
- Ability to accommodate travel requirements
Patient Privacy
- Work involves contact with Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients with chronic illness
- Required to complete training courses including Snow Companies Policy Training, HIPAA, Adverse Event Reporting Training, and FDA Training
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Effective problem-solving and data interpretation skills
- Adaptable thinking in non-standardized situations
- Ability to follow complex instructions in written, oral, or diagram format
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
- Must regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally more than 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Moderate noise level with no or very limited exposure to physical risk
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid driver’s license required
- Passport may be necessary in some instances
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or five to seven years of relevant industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
